You
will have noticed that I don't call myself a psycholinguist:
I've studied all kinds of things, but I don't have
any formal qualification in psychology or therapy
or even pedagogics - formally I'm a musicologist,
but I also have a music degree where my major study
was conducting, and a diploma in management, so
everything works together even on paper :-)
Of
course the whole basis of my work - and life - is
an integrated awareness of what happens within the
individual during interaction, what makes her or
him function well and realise their potential for
feeling that life is good... whether it's in language,
music, art, craft, education, business, baking bread,
or whatever...
For
a westerner, I am considered rather a Taoist...
There's a strong healing aspect to it all, but I
work with people who aren't ready for anything called
'therapy'.
