The reactions I've received from correspondents in many places confirm that there's a real interest in our little corner of the world - my timber farmhouse nestling in the shelter of hills, forests and lakes, the coast which is raising itself out of the sea at the rate of a metre every century, the mediaeval churches with their wall paintings and decorated vaults...
But that's only what I see - each of us has a special treasure to share with others, a story waiting to be told, a picture waiting to be viewed, something unique and valuable to enchant a world which is culturally undernourished as it feeds on the monotony of multinational advertising and standardised TV entertainment...
