Presentation of text - 1 of 3

The students, sitting upright, have now been given a new text (as described above). The teacher turns on a tape recorder that has been set up with classical or romantic period music. Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, and Chopin are examples.

After the tape has been playing for a few minutes, thus allowing the students to get into the mood of the pleasant, stimulating, and emotionally moving music, the teacher begins to read the text, following the intonations of the music, as if his/her voice were one of the instruments in the orchestra.
