The content of the dialogues: an example

- A few general observations

a. The identities  (i.e. the names, occupations, and places) are camouflaged pronunciation exercises, each identity representing one particular English sound. Hence, every time students introduce themselves or their friends, they are working on pronunciation - without knowing it. This renders mechanical repetition unnecessary.

b. The passage cited is presented in the middle of the second week of a second-level course. The four-week first-level suggestopedic course introduces students to 2000 words and the basic grammar structures.

c. Although the vocabulary is very rich, students generally remember this lyrical passage word-for-word weeks later because it is evocative, emotional and aesthetic.
