Then I turn the page and see the Adobe Design Collection, even cheaper (OK, a bit less expensive) at 'only' $1.300, and that has the same programs except you get InDesign 2 instead of PageMaker 7; and that's odd since InDesign is otherwise more expensive than PageMaker ...

Talk about Illustrator, InDesign is a real mouth-waterer - whether you use it for print, for creative PDF presentations, or as a basis for web-pages, it's just SO smooth ... Which other programme expresses its raison d'etre as simply as to "produce beautiful typography"? - never mind that it's also "built to work and feel like Illustrator and PhotoShop" ...

It's just that I only ever needed InDesign for one print job, for my colleague Mai in Bavaria, and I already have the programme from her, albeit v.1.5 in German ...

But it can do lovely PDFs with hyperlinks, and even Adobe's special eBook-PDF format; and it's specially made to let you re-use the same content in a variety formats, like print, HTML and PDF ...
