9th SEAL International Conference

'Opening Minds' Canterbury 2001

When you arrive tell the Porter that you have come for the SEAL Conference and he will direct you to the Pupil's Social Centre where the SEAL Office is located. You will be welcomed, given your badge, the Conference Handbook and a map of the site, and you'll be directed to your accommodation (if relevant).

Visitors to Canterbury Cathedral can also wander into The King's School grounds. It is essential to wear your badge so that you can be recognised as a SEAL participant.

Accommodation

The King's School

Accommodation at The King's School is in 'Houses'. Each house is staffed by a 'Matron'. The houses are locked at all times and you will be given a key/code to enter. We strongly advise you to bring a bathrobe or dressing gown for walking between your bedroom and the bathroom.

Canterbury Christ Church University College (CCCUC)

The only accommodation we are using at CCCUC is the single en suite rooms. There are only a limited number of these rooms available.

Soap and towels are provided in all the rooms.

There are facilities for making hot drinks in all the houses.

There are pay telephones in all the houses.

The electricity is 240 Volts and uses British 13 Amp (square) plugs.
