ACCREDITATION
For some people, an important motivation for all this is to
gain accreditation for suggestopedic courses at a higher level, so
that they will qualify for official grants, be seen as more serious
by potential clients etc.
WHAT ACCREDITATION DO WE SEEK?
- We need to recognise that, so far, the oft-quoted
results of Dr. Lozanov's reseearch have not been
available in a form which gives them credibilty in
western academic circles.
- Another potential source of support, the work at the
Karl-Marz University in Leipzig, may be called into
question, now that the suggestopedic institute there is
apparently being dissolved [any reader have up to date

- What support can we find in academic
circles - SALT Journal? university work? Indepedent studies by
companies comparing, e.g. cost-effectiveness of suggestopedia and
other methods?
- If an accrediting authority knows that
the founder of Suggestopedia offers his own training, and
recognises only his own courses, how will it regard an application
fom someone else?
- It seems clear that he accepts no-one but himself as
competent to train suggestopedic teachers.

- Will the situation be different if the
certification offered is in an approach which significantly
extends the scope of Dr. Lozanov's own model?
- If so, should one be looking for a
name which avoids confusion and reflects this broader scope? and
describes its characteristics?
- If so, what are they -
- wholistic?
- effective?
- affective?
