Acceptance? - we're all foreigners here: we don't spend so much time in each other's company, everyone looks after their own affairs.

Lots of money has been pumped into tourism here, there's a large council administration...

'Communications?

Oh, everyone's got a phone - where on earth do you come from?! - and there are four or five computers, in the school and the council office.

TV doesn't actually work very well, there's so much interference, it's not a big part of anyone's life...'
