The adaptation phase - 1 of 3

The fourth quarter of every lesson differs from the activation phase  in that the situations, games, and activities here do not stay as close to the actual text. If we regard the activation phase as an exploitation of the text, we can consider the adaptation phase an extrapolation  from the text. Its function is somewhat similar to the "free stage" in Direct Method teaching, i.e., the students use what they have assimilated in concentrically expanding circles of wider and more general contexts.
