Singing
"To
sing my songs will free your lungs of all oppression!"
Improvising
round a simple renaissance 'blues' bass; finding the notes
which feel good together with the given basis, and finding
what sounds feel bad, choosing each deliberately to create
the effect one wants; allowing the hidden voice to come
out by redefining what music is: starting with a simple
verbal message, presenting it in normal speech; gradually
moving into rhetorical speech; and as we hang the notes
onto the syllables, discovering that we've moved into
song - our own song, a song which was never sung before.
