About the Artists

Kerstin Molander

har revived the local damask tradition, at one time as pupil of the nationally-known Emma Wiberg.

Kerstin Mo often weaves her damask pieces of homespun linen. She has developed the damask technique and likes to weave in modern geometric patterns, which bear her own design.

Her works are spread over large areas of the world. Kerstin Mo has composed and woven all the altar cloths for the new consecration after St. Catherine's Church in Stockholm was rebuilt in 1995. This is the largest project she has been engaged in.

Kerstin has her own studio 3 km north of Bollstabruk. Both individuals and groups are welcome to visit at all times of year.
