- how the use of music in the ‘active concert-reading’ of whole-person learning can be enhanced by an understanding of how that music was conceived.

This article spreads the net wider than Georgi Lozanov was able to do, partly because he didn't have a musicological background, partly because there is so much more recorded music available today than he had access to when he was developing his approach.

As a musicologist with experience of suggestopedic teaching, I did try to engage Dr. Lozanov in a dialogue about this on several occasions, but it seemed that - then at least - he was not ready to recognise that others might have relevant experiences which could complement his own insights.
