OPENING HEARTS
Fourth International SEAL Conference in Argentina - February 15-16-17, 2002

Some of the poems written by participants in the sessions with Lawrence Baines in "Naked Writing"

Life is a puzzle all the way
Life is a basket full of wishes
it can be danger
it can be pain
Life is a basket full of wishes
wish for hope, wish for choice
It can be pain
it can be blue
wish for hope, wish for choice
wish no more
it can be blue
But life is all for you

Silvia Baeza
My "first" poem, written at the age of 50 - Thanks Lawrence!

Love is the ultimate feeling
Feeling that everything is possible
that you can fly high, very high
and be in peace with yourself and others

Feeling that everything is possible
means having faith in your strengths
Be in peace with yourself and others
means feeling that everything is just okay

Having faith in your strengths
gives you the power of feeling
feeling that everything is just okay
and that is really great

Verónica Lilia Cirone

Think only of a woman's heart
Waiting for her lover to turn up.
Pounding with anxious happiness,
Her heart could suspend the passing of time.
Waiting for her lover to turn up,
At a lonely table of any somber pub,
Her heart could suspend the passing of time,
And make her hope fall apart.
At a lonely table of any somber pub,
She cannot see the rising sun;
And with her hope falling apart,
She cannot see another chance by her side.

Gonzalo Rosetti

Love made it good
We had it all
Perhaps it was
Before the Fall
We had it all
To live so well
Before the Fall
Which broke the spell
To live so well
Love comes to us
Which breaks the spell
And makes it good

Christine Clark

Dear Thee
I wish I had not
seen myself in you
a perfect reflection of my soul
I wish I had not
told you childish and fool
a perfect reflection of my soul
which now I start to understand
Told you childish and fool
was my soul
which now I start to understand
Thine Thee
