Ricardo Cavallini

"... for there is nothing good or bad,
but thinking makes it so."

Hamlet
(II, ii, ll.249-50)

" The mind is its own place, and in itself
Can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven."

Paradise Lost
(Book I, ll.254-5)

We do not react to external events but rather to an interpretation of them. And how do we weave this interpretative tapestry? Just with visual, auditory and kinesthetic images held together by our beliefs.

NLP and Neuro-Associative Conditioning provide us with useful tools to raise our awareness of how we structure our subjective experience. This awareness or "mindfulness" is the first big step towards developing our intra-interpersonal skills. Once we realize how we create the meanings we attach to events we'll be able to choose the most resourceful and proactive ones and help others do the same.

Through simple, practical and creative exercises we'll be able to develop better rapport with ourselves and those around us.
