Dear Veronica,
You don't know me but I was
at the conference. You might remember a girl who stood up at Adrian's
first workshop and explained to more experienced teachers and
"Sealers" how a poster had failed to meet her expectations. I
am that girl and I could say that what I learnt in those 120 minutes
was worth almost as much as 2 years at the teacher training college
or more.
I would like to thank you
from my heart for having sent me the e-mail with the address of
the site about the conference. It touched me so much to see those
photos, and read those articles and about everyone's reactions
that it brought back the same feeling of inspiration and love
for teaching and life that I felt throughout those days.
I have no words to describe
the emotion and happiness I felt when I discovered in you and
in all the presenters the same passion for teaching and for the
well-being of our students that I felt as soon as I started teaching
and discovered that it was my calling.
Unfortunately I will not be
able to attend Robert's conference, and I feel a deep sorrow for
that, but I am sure you'll see me around at other Seal events
because as I told my boyfriend the first day after I came home:
"I found my place, I found the people I was looking for".
Once again I thank you and
send all my love to you and all the other Sealers who made those
three wonderful days possible. Lots of love and butterfly smiles
for you.
Jimena del Azar.
