Robert Reasoner
President of the
International Council for Self-Esteem
Robert Reasoner is an
international authority on self-esteem and a
respected educator. He speaks from 40 years
experience as a teacher and school administrator in
California and Europe.
He has been conducting
research and developing programs to foster
self-esteem for the past 25 years and his published
materials for schools and parents are being used
throughout the world. His model for developing
self-esteem has been acknowledged to be effective
not only by public schools, but also by schools of
psychiatry, adolescent treatment hospitals, drug
and alcohol abuse centres, and private business.
His framework for
building self-esteem serves as the basis for five
published programs and the schools in his district
were acclaimed as exemplary schools by the State of
California as well as by the U.S. Office of
Education.
Bob currently serves as President of
the International Council for Self-Esteem to support self-esteem
efforts worldwide. The California Centre for Self-Esteem honoured
him with the First Robert W. Reasoner Award for his work with
the self-esteem movement throughout the world, and the National
Association for Self-Esteem designated him National Educator of
the Year in 1991.
