Post, the key to life

It's normal in Estonia that a village post-office will also function as a telephone station - both for ringing if you haven't a phone of your own, and for paying your bill if you have - and even the library will be in the same building.

On Runö for a change the library has its own building next door, it's the priest who shares the accommodation with the Post Office.

And here the public phone is no hand-cranked antiquity, but a smart grey-and-blue electronic-card model of Swedish design.
