Music in the Swedish Summer

Following a tradition built up over several years I had planned to take a group from Estonia to stay on the farm in Löfsjö and give concerts in July, together with Karin who was nearby anyway. The light is so special, the heavens are so very high, it's such a special process when people come from the outdoors and we lead them into a focusing in to the music as we tune the strings and tune the listeners' reception...

Maybe the time just wasn't right, or maybe my new life as a MacCommunicator didn't allow enough room for being a concert arranger as well: but I had to accept in the end that there simply weren't enough concerts to finance the trip as it was planned - a real disappointment.

Fortunately Karin and I have a routine in doing these things, and we were able to put together a satisfying programme in the time she had left over after looking after Edwin and Linnea - and the audiences seemed as pleased as ever...
