THE GAME OF THE ART COAST

- two to six players

RULES

To make sense of the game, it's good in the players are familiar with the different ways in which the artists and craftsmen express themselves. You can read more about them in the presentations.

How to play:

The tiles are laid out on the table, pictures face down. Each player turns over two tiles in turn. If these are two of a pair - i.e. the same picture - the same player continues to turn over tiles. If they're not two of a pair, the player puts the tiles back face down, and the next player gets his turn. When someone gets an artist's name and a picture, they put the picture back face down, but keep the name.

in the Skule Forest

There are also three tiles which show the robber from the Skule Forest. When a player gets a 'robber' tile, they challenge the other players, and they throw the dice to decide who gives a pair of pictures to the player with the 'robber' tile.

Challenging works like this:

Each of the players except the the one with the 'robber' tile throws a dice in turn. Anyone who gets a 'one' has to deliver up a pair of pictures to the player with the 'robber' tile.

If anyone who's thrown a 'one' hasn't got a pair of pictures, they can give them up later in the game. And if it happens that no-one throws a 'one', the player with the 'robber' tile has to give a pair back to the central pool. The 'robber' tile is put outside the playing area and the game continues. Once all the tiles on the table have been picked up, the points are counted.

One pair: 2 points.

A name tile: 1 point.

A name tile with the right pair of pictures: 5 points.

A name tile with all the works by that artist: makes up a complete studio and give 20 bonus points.

The player with the highest number of points wins that round.

Let the game begin - Good Luck!
