About the Artists

Olle Gustavsson f 1934

"Life taught me to paint". When Olle was 17 he started work at Gustavsbergs porcelain factory where he stayed for 15 years together with a number of famous ceramic artists. It was during these years that his interest in art was awakened. Olle them studied painting for four years with Malte Nyberg XII of Bjästa.

Olle's aim with his pictures is to reproduce the simple everyday in mixed techniques and collage.

Every year on 1st July and the 1st Sunday in Advent he has open house in the 'Älvgård rooms' by the north foot of Sandö bridge. There he has both studio, exhibition space, and a museum of the glass-factory epoch on Sandö. Both individuals and groups are welcome to visit the whole year round.
