Now, trace a curved line for the bridge-pins and then another one nearer the upper edge of the neck where the holes for the tuning pegs will he drilled.

In order to place the tuning pegs in the right place and to avoid too great a stress on the bridge the angle made by the string going over the left of the bridge pin, and then to the right of the tuning peg and around it, must not be too acute. To mark the holes for the tuning pegs, simply prolong the string lines until they meet the curved lines for the pegs; 4mm to the right, on the curved line, is correct.

When all the marking is done on the neck, from the upper string bar from the workshop and mark the holes for the strings as they appear on the full size drawing. Make sure they are in a straight line and in the centre of the Formica strip, and then start the drilling.
