This fascinating print from Queen Elizabeth's England, 1567, reproduces on every other other line the text of an Anglo-Saxon manuscript from 600 years earlier.

The printer must presumably have cast a special type - I haven't come across any other early examples of printing Anglo-Saxon language and letters ...
