There were some trees after all

OK, it's the last day, and I've driven that way before: but still I have, for the first time, the impression that there really are some trees on Crete - 6-8 m. high even...
But there's still no grass, just scrubby tufty grey-green bushes, everything still so dry.
There's also quite a bit of new plantation, I guess for olive trees; I see two ploughing tractors, the plough-shares high with big hooks, I guess specially designed for the rough terrain full of rocks ...
The boat to Rhodes, by the way, goes on a Sunday - I can see it from the mountain top, setting out from the harbour and chugging its way across the bay.

A bit later on, but still from the mountains, I can see that there's also a 7-deck cruise-ship apparently anchored in another bay, all white, with nothing painted on the side, and no flag visible; and I can see there's a launch taking 4 or 5 minutes to ply between it and the town.
So to explore further, I drive down into St. Nicolas.
