Where to, then?

It would have been rather stressful to cover all of Crete in 10 days, and my purpose was essentially to have a rest in one nice place; but in the end I believe I did see a representative chunk of most of it.

The areas I didn't get to were

- the north-west, Xania/Chania/Hania which people said was rather touristy;

- and the extreme west coast, accessible only via Xania, and which people said was a mountainous and barren area only developed for tourists who want to lie in the sun, and had no organic life of its own.
