About the multimedia version in iShell
What's special about the program?

I guess it started with the Apple Media Tool (where do they get these catchy names from?!), a friendly and inspiring program for authoring multimedia presentations, which uses a simple object metaphor - you just drag things here and there, and hey presto, it runs! Sadly, it was dropped when Apple decided it was spreading itself too widely and too thinly... but the development which was pending became part of the program to which Patrick, the programmer, then devoted his energies - iShell. |

For the rest of us the basic version is still fully-functional, and there's a stimulating network of authors which I feel privileged to be part of - people take my comments and questions seriously, and some snippets of my harp music are deposited there for people to use. Jim Nixon, who runs the network, is one of the most delightful guys you could hope to meet, and has produced some tasteful and inspiring demonstrations of specific features which you can use as templates for your own work. |
